So, Sri Lanka are the Asia cup 2008 champions after a superb performance from new star in world cricket Ajanta Mendis. Mendis a spinner took 6 wickets for Sri Lanka including that of Sehwag, Raina, Yuvraj, Dhoni, RP Singh and Rohit Sharma. India were able to restrict for 274 runs despite of Superb inning of 125 from Sanath Jayasuriya. In reply India lost the match by 100 runs.
Ajanta Mendis has played superb cricket for his 6-13 against India. He is definitely going to be a star cricketer in future.
